Banksia marginata (Silver banksia)

Ubiquitous to south eastern Australia, able to grow in varied climates and in many differing forms. Typically a two metre shrub with dark green leaves and distinctive cylindrical flowers, gold to yellow in colour. Tolerates a range of soils including clay, loams and sandy. Once established, B. marginata can tolerate water logged sites, exposed windy locations and extended dry conditions.
